Walking Through Dead Lilies

With a cracked black sullen heart and a body writhing with bitterness,
i think I’ll be happy there among the rotting lifeless -
Tell me,
Have you ever felt the cold steel barrel of a gun against your head,
only to find out the finger on the trigger was your own? -
One moment of clear thinking, a loud flash of light, and it’s done, it’s all over,
everything’s gone, nothing left but the darkest silence, death -
In deaths silence there will be no more fears, no more worries and no more tears,
no more demons to rip through me, devour me, contort/control me –
At last i would be at rest in a peaceful bliss, but in my peaceful bliss,
I’d be without her silken kiss -

  1. “no more demons to rip through me, devour me, contort/control me” – great line, it had a very fluid and evocative feel.

  2. Thank you, i kind’a like that line too.
